Why Every SiddhiStar Pooja Begins Before It Begins - The Pavitrikaran and Aachaman

Watch any SiddhiStar mahashivratri puja or rudra abhishek puja from the very beginning, and you will notice something that happens before what most people would consider the puja has even started. Before the Sankalp. Before the deity is invoked. Before any flower is offered. The pandit performs Pavitrikaran - the purification of the space and of his own body - and then Aachaman, three sips of water with the names of Vishnu spoken.

This is not preliminary. It is structurally part of the rudrabhishek vidhi itself.

What Pavitrikaran Does

Pavitrikaran is the moment the space changes from ordinary space to consecrated space. Specific mantras are spoken. Water is sprinkled in defined directions. The pandit's own body is purified through the same procedure. From the moment Pavitrikaran is complete, the room is no longer the room it was a minute ago.

This is what makes the Sankalp mantra that follows actually land. Without Pavitrikaran, the sankalp mantra is being spoken in unconsecrated space - and the deity does not arrive to receive it.

What Aachaman Does

Three sips of water. Three names of Vishnu - Keshava, Narayana, Madhava. With each name, a sip is taken. The body that has been purified externally by Pavitrikaran is now purified internally by Aachaman. The mouth that will speak the Sankalp is the same mouth that has just spoken the names of Vishnu.

Why This Matters in Every Puja

A SiddhiStar rudrabhishek puja at home or online begins this way every time. The pandit who arrives at your home performs Pavitrikaran of your puja space before he even unwraps the samagri. The pandit who conducts your live online ceremony at Narwar Dham performs the same opening. The space is consecrated before anything else happens.

This is the difference between a ceremony that arrives whole and a ritual that performs the visible steps without their foundation.
