What Happens in the Room When the Havan Fire Is Lit at Narwar Dham

The mantras have been chanted for hours. The Sankalp has been spoken. The Upchar has been offered. The yantra has been consecrated. And then the moment comes when the baglamukhi havan fire is lit.

What happens next is difficult to describe in language. The pandits at Narwar Dham know what is happening. The devotees who have attended baglamukhi puja before know. For everyone else, this is what the experience actually feels like.

The First Moments

The fire takes time to settle into a flame. The first ahuti - a small one of ghee - drops in. The fire catches. Within seconds, the room changes. There is heat where there was air. There is light where there was the steady glow of the lamps. The pandits' voices, which have been the dominant sound, are now joined by the crackle of the fire.

The body registers the shift. Even before the mind has named what is different, something in the chest area tightens slightly, then releases. The presence of the baglamukhi havan has been felt before it has been seen.

The Building Intensity

Each ahuti deepens the fire. Mustard seeds. Til. Ghee. Specific herbs. The flames rise and fall with the offerings. The chanting continues - the same baglamukhi mantra that has been recited for an hour, but now married to the fire's rhythm.

This is when devotees report the strongest experiences. Some weep without knowing why. Some feel a clear release of something they had been holding. Some report a quietness in the mind that they had not been able to find in any other way.

The pandits know to expect this. Maa Baglamukhi's presence at this stage of the havan vidhi is direct.

The Purnahuti

When the Purnahuti arrives - the final complete offering - the fire receives the totality of what the puja has assembled. The chanting reaches its loudest. The flames rise to their full height. And then everything - fire, sound, attention - comes to a precise stop.

The silence that follows is not absence. It is the goddess having received what was offered.

What This Means When You Watch Through SiddhiStar

The baglamukhi havan can be experienced through the SiddhiStar livestream. The same fire. The same chanting. The same room. Devotees connecting from California to Singapore to London report the same shifts in the body - proximity is not the only way the experience reaches you.
