What Is This Puja?

Shop Opening Puja is the Vedic rite performed before a new retail or commercial shop begins operations. The ritual consecrates the shop as a place of dharmic commerce - Ganesh ji is invoked to remove obstacles from the new venture, Lakshmi ji is invoked for prosperity, Saraswati ji is invoked for clarity in dealings, and Vastu Devta is welcomed into the shop space. The ritual moves through purification, sankalp, invocation of the primary deities, the central pujan of Vastu Devta, and the establishment of the pooja ka sthan within the shop. At SiddhiStar, the puja is performed at your shop itself by a pandit trained in the Narwar Dham parampara. Your gotra and Kul Devata are recorded at booking. The base puja takes approximately two hours, with Hawan offered as an optional 30-minute add-on where the shop's fire safety arrangements permit.

The family's primary member is purified with sacred water and three sips of achaman before the rite.

Tilak & Rakshabandhan

Tilak is applied and protective mauli tied on the right wrist of the yajman.

Dik Rakshan

Yellow mustard is offered to the four directions of the shop space.

SiddhiStar Samagri Policy
The SiddhiStar Samagri Kit (Block 1) is offered as an optional add-on at booking. The family may choose to receive the kit at home before the puja date or arrange the Block 1 items themselves from a local kirana store or home delivery app. Either option is honoured equally; the kit is a convenience layer, not a ritual necessity.

Important Note

Shop Opening Puja is conducted as Ghar Par Puja only, performed at the shop itself before regular operations begin. The Kalash, the chowki, the Lakshmi ji and Saraswati ji murtis, the first ledger or signboard, and the hawan kund (where the Hawan add-on is opted in) are arranged by the family on the day of puja.
