What Is This Puja?
Pitru Tarpan is the shastriya offering of jal and til made in remembrance of one's ancestors. The ritual is performed with the Yajman's name, gotra and ancestral details through Sankalp, followed by the prescribed offerings to the Pitru Devatas. It is especially requested during Pitru Paksha, Amavasya, Sarvapitru Amavasya and the relevant Shradh Tithi of a departed family member. At SiddhiStar, Pitru Tarpan can be performed in two ways: as Ghar Par Puja, where a SiddhiStar Pandit comes to the Yajman's home and conducts the Tarpan with the family, bringing sacred Gangajal with him so that water from the holy Ganga becomes part of the offering even when performed at home; or as Online Puja, where the Tarpan is performed on the sacred banks of River Ganga by the SiddhiStar Acharya in the Yajman and family's name and gotra, with the family joining through live Sankalp and live streaming. This is not a mass Puja - the Sankalp and Tarpan are performed specifically for the booked Yajman and family.

Pavitrikaran & Achaman (पवित्रीकरण व आचमन)
The Yajman and Puja space are purified before the ritual begins. Sacred water is used for the preparatory shuddhi and Achaman. For Ghar Par Puja, the sacred Gangajal brought by the Pandit is incorporated into the ritual as prescribed.

Tilak & Rakshabandhan (तिलक व रक्षाबंधन)
Tilak is applied and the protective mauli is tied to the Yajman before the formal Sankalp begins.

Ganesh & Guru Smaran (गणेश एवं गुरु स्मरण)
Shri Ganesh and the Guru Parampara are remembered so that the ancestral rite proceeds without obstruction.

Havan is not part of the standard Pitru Tarpan SKU. If a separate Shradh / Pitru Shanti Anushthan requires Havan, it should be offered as a separate ritual configuration rather than automatically added to Tarpan.
